what will the scar be like
I know everyone is different. We all heal in different ways but I thought I would let you know how I am doing physically. Today it has been one week and 2 days since my lumpectomy, yesterday I stopped using the anti-ouch pouch just keep it around for when I am in the car. I have some pain of course and I have pain releivers for that. I get these jabbing like pains in the breast every once in a while. There is still some swelling but no bruising. Today is the best day I have had so far, still have to watch how I use my arm but the stitches are healing real nice. Actually they are not stitches at all he “put me together’ with super glue. lol Of course the doctor did not call it that but that is what it looks like. When all this is over he has done such a good job that I doubt there will be much scars. Well not big ugly ones I mean. The nights are the worse. By 6p.m. I am getting real tired and that is when I start to ache. I also have fibro and that does not help with the tiredness nor the achyness. The next surgery is by the same surgeon and it will be a longer one (these are each about 2″) and will run across the shape of my underarm. Pretty close to what is already there. That is something else that you do not see people write about and every women worries about. How bad will my scar be? Of course like I said everyone is different but this is what the lumpectomy left me with.
Well we are off to town and do some visiting. We are going to a church open house and chili cook-off so it should be a fun day. I will write more later and let you know how my first all day outing went.
OMG, I got noticed I never sent this to be published and I wrote it on Sat. I am going to get the published and then write the one for today.
